M. Boucher a enseigné la phonétique et les sciences de la parole dans des départements de français, de linguistique et d'audiologie
et d'orthophonie. Il est au Département de linguistique de l'Université de Montréal depuis 2001.

Ses intérêts de recherche portent sur la nature des rythmes dans la parole et leurs effets sur la structure du langage. Il
s'intéresse aussi au problème du biais de l'écriture dans les théories des processus langagiers et au développement de nouvelles
applications de la phonétique.

Victor Boucher |
|
|
Professor Boucher has taught phonetics and speech sciences in departments of French, linguistics, and speech-language pathology
and audiology. He is at the linguistics department of the Université de Montréal since 2001.
|
His research focuses on the nature of rhythm patterns in speech and their relation to language structure. Part of this research
covers the problem of a writing bias in theories of language processing. He is also interested in the development of new applications
of phonetic sciences

l'Hôpital Rivière-des-Prairies (CHUM). Ses travaux portent sur l'attention, les effets d'amorçage et les processus cognitifs
qui influencent la perception visuelle.

Spécialiste de l'utilisation des techniques de potentiels évoqués cognitifs (PE) et de la localisation des générateurs intracérébraux,
Docteure Jemel collabore présentement à titre de codirectrice dans le cadre d'une recherche doctorale sur le rôle de la mémoire
et de l'attention dans l'organisation des structures prosodiques.

|
Doctor Boutheina Jemel is an adjunct researcher at the Department of psychiatry at the Université de Montréal and Director
of the Laboratoire de Recherche en Neurosciences et Électrophysiologie Cognitive affiliated to the Centre de Recherche Fernand-Seguin
of the Rivière-des-Prairies Hospital (CHUM). Dr. Jemel research focuses on attention, priming effects as well as top-down
processes influencing visual perception.

Specialist of the use of event related potentials (ERPs) and of source localization, Dr. Jemel is presently co-directing a
doctoral study on the role of memory and attention in the organization of prosodic structures.

|
Tareck Ayad, Md, FRCSC est oto-rhino-laryngologiste certifié et exerce au Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal.
Il a un intérêt particulier pour la chirurgie cervico-faciale et reconstructrice.
|
Docteur Ayad a publié dans le domaine du traitement des cancers de la cavité orale. Il est impliqué également dans des recherches
en santé préventive pour des organismes publics.
|
Il collabore de façon soutenue à un projet de dépistage préventif de la fatigue vocale et à des études électromyographiques
du larynx, auxquelles participe également le Laboratoire.

Tareck Ayad |
|
|
Tareck Ayad, Md, FRCSC is a certified otolaryngologist practicing at the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal. He
has a special interest in head and neck surgery and reconstruction.
|
Dr. Ayad has published in the field of treatment of oral cavity cancers. He is also involved in preventive health-care research
in public health services.
|
Currently, Dr. Ayad is actively collaborating on a project aimed at developing a screening procedure for the prevention of
voice abuse and is involved in work using electromyography of the larynx.

Natacha Trudeau |
|
|
Natacha Trudeau est professeure à l'École d'orthophonie et d'audiologie de l'Université de Montréal et membre de l'Ordre des
orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec. Ses travaux de recherche portent sur le développement du langage en français.
|
Chercheure à l'Hôpital Sainte-Justine, Madame Trudeau s'intéresse particulièrement à l'élaboration d'outils d'évaluation pour
les enfants d'âge préscolaire. Elle collabore présentement à titre de co-directrice à un projet doctoral sur un test de dépistage
au bénéfice d'enfants africains.

|
Natacha Trudeau is a professor at the École d'orthophonie et d'audiologie of the Université de Montréal and a member of the
Quebec Order of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Her research focuses on French language development.
|
Researcher at the Sainte-Justine Hospital, Dr. Trudeau is particularly interested in methods of language evaluation for pre-school
children. She is presently collaborating in co-directing a doctoral study aimed at developing a language screening test for
African children.

|
|
Nicolas Starinsky (PhD) est physicien et affilié au Centre de technologie et au Laboratoire de physique nucléaire (Université
de Montréal). Docteur Starinsky sintéresse particulièrement à la physique des capteurs et a élaboré des devis dinstruments
pour notre laboratoire dont un outil original de transillumination de la glotte qui exploite les quasi-infrarouges.

Nicolas Starinsky (PhD) is a physicist affiliated to the Centre de technologie and the Laboratoire de physique nucléaire (Université
de Montréal). Dr. Starinsky is particularly interested in the physics of sensors and has designed instruments for our laboratory
including an original transillumination device to monitor glottal aperture motions using quasi-infrared.

(le sens d'avoir produit une unité verbale). Les résultats ont fait l'objet d'un article intitulé The ecology of production
effects on the sense of agency and verbal learning: Does speaking to someone make a difference? qui sera sousmis pour publication.
Il poursuit présentement une recherche en neuropsychologie clinique à l'UQAM.

Alexis elaborated a novel research protocol on the effects of gaze on verbal memory and the "sense of agency" (the sens of
having produced a verbal item). The results were presented in a paper entitled The ecology of production effects on the
sense of agency and verbal learning: Does speaking to someone make a difference?, which will be submitted for publication.
Alexis is currently pursuing research in clinical neuropsychology at UQAM.

Anathalie Jean-Charles possède des années d'expérience à titre d'assistante de recherche auprès d'enfants d'âge préscolaire
(Laboratoire de recherche en orthophonie de l'Hôpital Sainte-Justine). Elle a aussi travaillé à titre d'assistante-intervenante
en collaboration avec des orthophonistes spécialisés en bégaiement au sein de l'Association des Jeunes bègues du Québec. Ses
intérêts portent sur la phonétique et la neuropsychologie appliquées à l'acquisition et aux troubles du langage.

Laboratory of Speech Therapy of Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal). She has also worked alongside speech therapists specialized
in stuttering within the Association des jeunes bègues du Québec. Her interests lie in applied phonetics and neuropsychology
with a focus on language acquisition and language delays.
